Dangerously Cold Air First Full Week of January

This mild air won’t last much longer as much colder air is on the way for the month of January. A shot of arctic air with some staying power is likely once we enter our first full week of January. The potential for dangerously cold temps (below zero) and wind chills (well below zero) are possible. We also know lake effect snow will be common across the Great Lakes, but in terms of system snow we’ll be dancing around a few bigger winter storms. For now–we know dangerous cold is on the way, but we’ll continue to monitor the trends for snowfall as well!
