Friday Evening Helene Update

Bands of rain are holding tight in a line from Lafayette to Fort Wayne with little movement in our direction. This was expected as that “push” we talked about is now moving through Ohio. Eventually that momentum will sling this band of rain further west with showers expected to move in the Region late this evening into the overnight. As the center of the low moves further west we may see the band of rain that moves in tonight stick around at times for our Saturday. Still not expecting a washout–but just know whatever rain settles in and around the Region tonight may hold for a bit Saturday. Overall we’re not expecting a lot of rain from this and overall impacts outside of our gusty wind remain low–but we’ll be dealing with scattered rain both Saturday and Sunday.
