The remnants of Helene will sling our way this afternoon into the evening as an upper level low pulls the entire system westward. As a result we’ll have increasing winds today and Lake Michigan will become…well let’s just say “disturbed”. Waves will push the 8-12 foot mark as our northeast wind ramps up. Here on land we’ll have gusts over 35 mph at times this afternoon into the evening with wind slowly subsiding tonight into the day Saturday.
Let’s talk rain chances. Expect rain to hold on radar just to our south and east today before finally getting a push from the actual center or circulation. This “push” will bring bands of showers through the Region later this evening through tonight. Scattered showers will stick around Saturday and Sunday with dry hours in between. Temps will hold in the 70s. Happy Friday everyone!
