Yes, we know it gets hot in August. Yes, we know it’s summer. This heat on the way is on the dangerously hot side–even for August around here. The core of this heat will intensify and settle right over the Region tomorrow and combined with incredibly high dewpoints that will move in–we’ll be pushing the heat index into the 110 range at times tomorrow afternoon. Sandwiching tomorrow will be a hot day today and Wednesday with heat indices pushing 100. Severe storms are also in the mix–we’ll have to watch what develops this evening to our north, but our main focus is on the storm potential that we’re targeting later Tuesday followed by additional rounds some point Wednesday, Thursday, and even into Friday. Storm chances and timing will be fluctuating–this potential for heat will not…it’ll be here. Please take care of yourselves and others!
