Update on Heavy Rain Potential From Remnants of Beryl

Good Monday afternoon everyone! We have the latest guidance runs in from all the major models and we have good consistency with the swath of heaviest rain lining up right through the Region as the exact track of the low begins to get pinned down. A widespread 1-3, even 4 inches of rain looks possible with the remnants of Beryl–but there is a sharp cut off on the northern end of the precip where not much will fall at all. We could use the rain, but not this much in a short amount of time. Rainfall looks to begin in waves Tuesday afternoon and continue at a rather steady pace late Tuesday into Tuesday night before coming to an end Wednesday. With this rain on the way, it’s a good idea to check your sump pump (and call Tiger Plumbing if it’s having any problems) and make sure your storm drains etc are nice and clean. More updates to come.
