Our initial line of storms is now moving out and we’ll have lingering showers that will carry us through midday. Take a look at the extensive line that just went through:

By afternoon, the cold front will approach with additional storm development likely favoring areas JUST SOUTH of the Region. These storms will likely be severe and we’ll have to keep an eye on their northward extent, but I expect the main severe weather potential to hold off to our south this afternoon. It still bears close watching and we’ll be here right alongside you keeping an eye on things the rest of the day–so stay tuned!
