A wave of more organized moisture will work through the Region tonight as expected bringing steady wintry mix overnight through the morning hours Tuesday. The majority of this precip will fall as freezing rain with no change in our forecast from yesterday–a good coating of ice is expected from this on untreated surfaces as temps remain at or just below freezing. Our ice potential will last through midday before slightly warmer air (by a degree or two) works in Tuesday afternoon changing precip to all rain (likely just showers) before ending. Plan for a slippery morning commute and allow that extra time–treated surfaces should be just fine, but anything untreated will be icy.
