Our next storm system is approaching from the west this morning and will spread on and off snow, sleet, and eventually some freezing rain throughout the day. We’ll likely have some quiet hours in between with temps right at the 30 degree mark.
A more significant wave of precip moves in later today into tonight and that’s when we’ll be dealing with a steady period of freezing rain that lingers through the day Tuesday. Temps will be hovering either at 31, 32, or 33 degrees for much of the morning Tuesday, so some of us will have rain, while others have freezing rain–either way, plan on an icy overnight and morning commute. Treated surfaces will be just fine, but another untreated will be problematic. We’ll flip over to mainly rain during the day as temps warm just above the freezing mark–slick travel is still possible through the day with any residual ice.
