Lake Snow Continues Today

Thanks to all of you that caught our broadcasts last night and this morning over on our Facebook Page–if you aren’t plugged in, make sure to like our page or follow us on YouTube to catch our broadcasts!

In terms of today’s forecast, for most of us, the snow is over as the storm system itself is moving away, but the pronounced lake effect band of snow will continue to target La Porte County and primarily eastern Porter County as we go throughout the day.

So far the band has been broken with on and off bursts of heavy snow–but we should see better organization to more of a solid band throughout the midday and early afternoon hours. If you’re traveling through Porter and La Porte counties today into tonight–expect difficult travel as you head into and through that narrow band of snow!

Elsewhere it’s getting colder as our last shot of arctic air for awhile moves back in. Temps will dip into the single digits tonight and down below zero tomorrow night once high pressure sets in.
