Frigid Weekend Ahead

Happy weekend everyone! You made it! The colder air will continue to spill in today with temps in the 20s this morning expected to fall into the 10s this afternoon and then into the single digits later this evening. Yeowch! We get even lower from there with dangerous cold setting in tonight as temps, yes air temps, fall below zero. We’ll settle in the -5 to 5 degree range for several days without recovery as this polar airmass sits and sticks right over the Great Lakes and Midwest.

In terms of snow, our morning snow will give way to periodic flurries today before another round of snow showers moves in this evening into tonight. Expect an additional inch or so of fluffy snow overnight into Sunday morning before the snow turns to all lake effect for several days–primarily affecting SW lower Michigan and the northeast portion of LaPorte County.
