Wintry Precip Late Tonight-Sunday

A quick-moving clipper system will move in late tonight through our New Year’s Eve Day bringing a mix of freezing rain and snow to the Region. While not a major event, we could see a light glaze on everything tomorrow morning if you’re heading out on errands or church services. As colder air aloft moves in during the late morning-afternoon timeframe, we should change things over to all snow. The snow won’t be constant, and this won’t be a big snow, but with some lake effect possible briefly at the tail end of this event later tomorrow–we could see an inch or two in locations where that lake effect sets up. Most locations will end up with lighter amounts, but some slick travel is possible tomorrow morning and then again later tomorrow as we head into New Year’s Eve. We’ll have another update tomorrow!
