Scattered Rain & Storms Today

Good Tuesday morning everyone! Our well-advertised low pressure will swirl its way in today bringing pop-up showers and storms to the Region. We’ll have dry hours as well with highs rising into the low 70s. The rain that does develop today will likely be locally heavy and we also have to contend with the threat for a few of these storms to turn severe with hail and locally strong winds being the primary threats. Given the decent shear in the atmosphere today, we also can’t rule out a brief weak tornado somewhere in and around the Region. This system hangs around through tonight and into our Wednesday with more rain chances. We’ll keep an eye on everything for you today and will pass along updates as needed–meanwhile, let’s take a look at how the radar will likely evolve the next 48 hours:
