Our stubborn slow-moving area of low pressure we’ve been featuring this week will finally float its way northward through eastern Illinois this afternoon bringing clouds and some rain to the Region. This whole system is fighting drier air locally, but it’ll likely hold together enough to squeeze out rain at times and as a result, our temps will stay in the 70s today. Lingering showers are possible Friday before that dry air wins out bringing the return of some sunshine!
