Happy Saturday everyone! We made it! A large complex of rain and storms formed overnight in Missouri and has very stubborn to dissipate. The result will be a batch of rain that moves through the Region today as the low pressure portion of the complex of storms remains quite intact. Severe weather is not expected today, just some rain. Attention will then turn towards the actual main low pressure itself that will swirl its way out of southern Minnesota Sunday–there will likely be a push of strong to severe storms on the leading edge of this tomorrow afternoon. Model guidance has shifted south with the bulk of the severe (why we never rang the alarm in the first place) but we’re still close enough to need to keep an eye on it. For now, we’ll plan on rain and a few storms returning Sunday as planned. We’ll keep you updated!
