Happy August, wow! Where has time gone? As we look ahead to the month temperature-wise we still stay on the warm side with average highs in the low 80s. Average lows will start to slip back with many days in the 50s late month. August is actually our 3rd rainiest month, and not by much! Most of our rain comes all at once from heavy rain-producing thunderstorms. We can also, on rare occasions, get remnant tropical moisture in here as tropical season begins to heat up. We average 3 days at 90 degrees or above and the most noticeable feature is the daylight loss. It’s beginning to speed up as we’re losing over 2 minutes every day with a total loss of an hour and 13 minutes by the end of the month.
