Good Wednesday morning everyone! Outside of the poor air quality from lingering wildfire smoke, we actually have comfortable air outside! Less humid air will be with us for the day today before a surge of tropical humidity returns Thursday through the upcoming weekend. This all coincides with shower and thunderstorm chances–no day will be a washout, but we’ll have to watch waves of storms that develop around that ridge of heat in the central and southern Plains through the weekend. In the near term, we’ll likely carry some leftover rain today off a complex to our west before additional storms develop tonight somewhere in or around the Region.
